Marcus Preciado

Creator of Flag Football Portal

Marcus Preciado is the founder and creator of Flag Football Portal, a platform dedicated to maximizing opportunities for high school flag football athletes to play in college. Marcus studied business and played football at San Diego State University. Despite entering the program as a walk-on, his determination and work ethic earned him a scholarship and a starting position as a true freshman, an experience that shaped his passion for helping young athletes pursue their own collegiate dreams.

Marcus and his wife Tracey have been married for over 25 years and are the proud parents of four children. Athletics runs deep in the Preciado family: their oldest son, Diego, played football at Stanford University; their daughters, Macey and Kayla, both played soccer at Westmont College; and Marco their youngest, is currently being recruited by several top universities. The family’s collective journey through college athletics has given Marcus a unique perspective on the challenges and rewards of the recruiting process.

With decades of experience as both a coach and Athletic Director, Marcus has guided countless student-athletes to success on and off the field, and has enjoyed being a part of two California State Championship teams, including soccer and football. Recently he helped establish and coach Classical Academy's championship and nationally ranked flag football team. His commitment to youth sports and mentorship inspired him to create Flag Football Portal as a comprehensive resource for families and athletes. Through this platform, Marcus aims to help others experience the same joy, memories, and opportunities that college sports brought to his own family.

Driven by a deep passion for supporting the next generation, Marcus is dedicated to ensuring that every high school flag football player has the tools, knowledge, and exposure needed to achieve their collegiate aspirations.
